Celebrating 70 Years of Nissan Electric Vehicles
In 1947, the pioneering Tama four-seat electric vehicle (EV) was introduced. It was developed initially by the Tokyo Electro Automobile Co. Ltd., which was later to become part of Nissan. Since then, Nissan has established itself as a world leader in EV technologies, helping usher in a new era with the launch of the Nissan LEAF in 2010 -- the world's first mass-market all-electric passenger car.
