In 1947, the pioneering Tama four-seat electric vehicle (EV) was introduced. It was developed initially by the Tokyo Electro Automobile Co. Ltd., which was later to become part of Nissan. Since then, Nissan has established itself as a world leader in EV technologies, helping usher in a new era with the launch of the Nissan LEAF in 2010 -- the world's first mass-market all-electric passenger car.

70 years after the company's first electric vehicle (EV) made its debut, the Nissan BladeGlider sports car drew notice at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. This 100 percent electric prototype, Nissan's most advanced EV ever, spent the weekend taking on the famous Hillclimb course and running a test session on the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit.

The second-generation LEAF makes its debut in early September, and at Larry H. Miller Nissan Mesa we're excited to get our hands on the second-generation LEAF and experience the future of electric vehicles.
