With pickup sales climbing this year, there were a lot of contenders for MotorWeek's coveted 2016 Drivers’ Choice Awards, but the Nissan TITAN XD, which took home the crown for the Best Pickup Truck segment, had no trouble cleaning up. While it’s not a heavy duty pickup, it’s definitely a light duty plus, offering all the features today’s truck buyers expect and carving out a place for itself at the top. They say the top gets lonely, but we’ve got company in the Maxima.

The TITAN XD picked up this award while the Nissan Maxima skated away with the top place in the Best Sports Sedan category. To hear it from MotorWeek, the Maxima has “more capability than most will ever need, more comfort than most would expect, all wrapped in sheet-metal you can’t take your eyes off; at a price that the majority can afford.” Now that’s how you handle competition.
