Is the oil filter replaced every time a 2025 Nissan Kicks has its oil changed? The oil filter should be replaced with the oil on a 2025 Nissan Kicks so the fresh oil has a clean filtering surface.
The filter captures debris carried by the oil, and keeping it for another change can leave a loaded filter in service. The appropriate service timing is determined by the manufacturer's maintenance schedule and the vehicle's service history.
- Filter replacement accompanies the oil service
- Debris is captured before it circulates further
- Service history helps guide maintenance decisions
What is included in an oil filter replacement on a 2025 Nissan Kicks? An oil filter replacement includes a correctly matched filter, a new drain plug gasket or washer where applicable, and a post-service leak check.
The filter is matched to the 2025 Nissan Kicks engine's specification. After installation, the engine is run and the filter seal is checked for leaks.
- Engine-matched oil filter
- New drain plug gasket or washer where used
- Leak inspection after the engine runs
What happens if the oil filter on a 2025 Nissan Kicks is not replaced? If the oil filter on a 2025 Nissan Kicks becomes loaded, its bypass valve opens and oil circulates without being filtered.
A loaded filter does not stop oil from reaching the engine; it stops that oil from being cleaned by the filter. The change can be quiet, so replacement with the oil is important.
- Debris remains trapped in an older filter
- The bypass valve can open when the filter loads
- Unfiltered oil can circulate through the engine
Does a 2025 Nissan Kicks need a specific oil filter?Yes, the filter must be matched to the 2025 Nissan Kicks 1,997 cc, 2.0-liter inline-four engine.
Filters are not interchangeable across engines because fit, sealing, and filtration requirements can differ. A correctly matched filter supports the engine's lubrication system and helps prevent leakage at the filter seal.
- Engine displacement is 1,997 cc
- The engine has four cylinders in an inline layout
- Filter fit and sealing must match the engine
Can the oil be changed on a 2025 Nissan Kicks without changing the filter?Oil can be changed without replacing the filter, but the filter should be replaced with the oil on a 2025 Nissan Kicks.
The filter holds debris removed from the oil, and a loaded filter can open its bypass valve so unfiltered oil circulates. The manufacturer's schedule, an inspection, and the vehicle's service history help determine the broader maintenance plan.
- Fresh oil works with a fresh filtering surface
- Old filters retain captured debris
- Service history supports maintenance decisions
