2024 Nissan Kicks Air Filter in Mesa, AZ

The filter sits in the engine’s intake path and helps keep dust and debris away from the 1.6-liter inline-four engine. The cabin air filter is located in the passenger-compartment HVAC intake area, typically behind the glove box. Larry H. Miller Nissan Mesa can inspect both filter locations during one service visit.

• Engine filter: under the hood in the intake housing
• Cabin filter: behind or near the glove-box area
• Service includes checking the housing and intake path

These filters perform different jobs in the 2024 Nissan Kicks. A restricted engine filter can reduce airflow to the combustion system and affect fuel economy or throttle response. A loaded cabin filter can reduce HVAC airflow or contribute to a dusty or musty smell from the vents.

• Engine filter: protects the combustion air intake
• Cabin filter: filters air for occupants through the HVAC system
• Both filters should be inspected for dust and debris

A restricted engine filter can limit airflow to the 122-horsepower powertrain and may make acceleration feel less responsive. A dirty cabin filter affects air delivery through the climate-control system. Larry H. Miller Nissan Mesa technicians can inspect the filter media, housing, and cabin intake path to identify the source.

• Lower fuel economy or slower-feeling throttle response
• Weak airflow from the climate-control vents
• Dusty or musty smells inside the vehicle

Any replacement should use a filter matched to the 1.6-liter engine and the vehicle’s HVAC system. Professional service adds an inspection of the intake housing, intake path, and visible air-metering components. It also helps confirm that the filter is seated correctly and that the housing closes securely.

• Match the replacement filter to the vehicle specification
• Inspect the engine housing for dust and debris
• Check cabin-filter access and HVAC airflow

The dealership serves Mesa and the Phoenix East Valley, including Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, and Phoenix. Service covers inspection of the engine air filter, cabin air filter, housings, and intake path. You can schedule service online before visiting the Nissan Service Center.

The inspection addresses both filter systems rather than treating them as interchangeable parts. The engine filter supports clean airflow to the 1.6-liter inline-four, while the cabin filter supports air delivery inside the hatchback. Booking both checks together can help identify airflow concerns in one visit.

• Engine air-filter and housing inspection
• Replacement with an engine-matched filter
• Cabin filter and intake-path inspection

The air filter is part of the engine intake system, so heavy dust or debris can limit the air reaching the 1.6-liter engine. Fuel economy also depends on driving conditions and vehicle operation, but a visibly loaded filter deserves inspection. Mesa drivers regularly encounter dusty roads and extended highway travel that can increase exposure to debris.

• Engine: 1.6-liter inline-four
• Efficiency ratings: 31 city and 36 highway MPG
• Inspection helps identify restricted intake airflow

The 2024 Nissan Kicks uses separate filters for separate systems. The engine filter supports the vehicle’s 122-horsepower powertrain, while the cabin filter supports the HVAC intake. A combined inspection can reveal a dusty engine housing, restricted filter media, weak vent airflow, or a musty interior odor.

• Protects airflow to the front-wheel-drive powertrain
• Checks the cabin HVAC intake path
• Combines both inspections during one appointment

The cabin air filter is inspected separately. The technician checks the cabin filter and HVAC intake path, then replaces the filter with the correct part when needed. This helps address weak vent airflow, dusty smells, or musty odors. A visual inspection of the intake and air-metering area can also help identify visible contamination or loose connections.

Air-filter service includes engine-filter and housing inspection, replacement with a filter matched to the engine specification, and inspection of the cabin filter and intake path.
